Ratings

Since we got quite a few tutorials by now (and more in the making), how about rating and ordering them based on how far into development the OS in question is? That'd allow the visitor to easily pick up on the subject most useful at the time - Combuster 21:34, 19 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

If you're talking about how advanced a tutorial is, I created a simple box to put at the top of a tutorial, which could indicate this:
Difficulty level

Master

I created a template for the tutorials. I will also apply them, but when anyone disagrees on any rating I give a tutorial, please do not hesitate to change it. Virtlink 22:32, 31 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
I like the icons :) I was originally thinking about having those ratings here where people have a good overview on what or what not to do next, so I updated the article. It doubles the administration however but IMO its worth that. - Combuster 22:22, 2 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Classification

We have quite a bunch of barebones tutorials. Until recently, the main difference was the language of choice but now we're starting to see such tutorials written for other platforms. I suggest that we either create categories like "x86 Barebones Tutorials" or use an expanding list (I think the wiki supports that but I'm no expert). --Love4boobies 16:50, 22 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Maintenance problem

It appears that the rating of articles are listed in the article itself and on this page. This means that it is possible for articles to get out of sync (indeed, I am guilty of that, I just noticed this article today). This page indeed seems redundant given that we have automatically generated category pages that list tutorials of various rankings. Perhaps we should deleted this article or create the means to automatically generate it. --Sortie 13:09, 4 November 2013 (CST)
