Bran's tutorial?

This introductory article suggests following Bran's tutorial, which is ancient and known to be buggy rather than Bare Bones and the newer things that is being contributed to this site. It's likely a good idea to fix that soon. Indeed, it doesn't directly link to the classic bare bones tutorial. --Sortie 16:44, 26 February 2014 (CST)

There isn't any tutorial out there that actually produces a kernel of appreciable complexity, without it's accompanying share of bugs. Barebones is meant to be a project template that doesn't actually do anything interesting, and both Bran's and James' have documented bugs in quantities comparable to their size. That really leaves two options: You can trim out the tutorial option because suggesting barebones is already done and there's no better replacement, or secondly, making a blatant statement/warning along the lines that there aren't actually any tutorials out there because nobody succeeds at getting it right :). - Combuster 12:55, 1 March 2014 (CST)
