ZFS is a filesystem designed by Sun Microsystems known for its exceptionally high storage capacities, built-in volume management, and data corruption prevention measures, transparent data deduplication, and transparent encryption. The maximum file size is 2^64 bytes (16 exabytes), and the maximum number of files is 2^48.
