The Apple TV 1st Generation is a smart TV box released by Apple in 2007. It contains a 1GHz Intel processor identical in specifications to the Pentium M ULV 723, 256MB of soldered DDR2 RAM, a NVIDIA GeForce Go 7300 [[GPU|graphics card]], and an IDE hard drive.

Like Intel Macs, the Apple TV 1st Generation uses [[UEFI|EFI]] firmware; however, unlike Intel Macs, the Apple TV can only boot from a single boot.efi, located at either /System/Library/CoreServices/boot.efi or /boot.efi on an HFS-formatted disk.
