Das U-Boot (or more simply just 'U-Boot') is an open-source generic boot loader mainly used in small-footprint systems, such as Chromebooks and single-board computers. Implementations exist for x86 PCs and Chromebooks (where it is often the default booloader) and PowerPC Amigas, as well as several ARM, MIPS, Blackfin, and RISC-V SBCs.
