Broken links under "Using a serial null-modem between GDB and your OS" both seem to be broken (KernelHacking.org is now a landing page, and the gdb spits a 404) maybe it's time for some spring cleaning on this page? -- Primis 18:32, 15 September 2012 (CDT)

I fixed all of the links and formating. I just don't know which category to place this in. Other than that I think that it can be taken out of pages for review. --Frank 12:37, 2 July 2007 (CDT)

Is such a long name for the article appropriate? "How Do I Use A Debugger With My OS" is more of a question than a title. Other articles are not labeled "What is an ELF file", just "ELF", so I think it would be appropriate to rename this article to "Kernel Debugging". --MessiahAndrw 03:06, 22 December 2009 (UTC)

:+1 for this in principal. Only one thing - articles in the FAQ category should perhaps appear as questions. I would prefer the title "Kernel Debugging", but it may annoy some people that FAQ's are not actually posed as questions. You may find there is some debate - perhaps you would like to pose the question on the forums? --Aj 11:21, 22 December 2009 (UTC)
The FAQ can still remain in the form of questions. For example an article link can still say "How Do I Use A Debugger With My OS?" but direct you to the the "Kernel Debugging" article. --MessiahAndrw 02:16, 27 July 2010 (UTC)

I think we should avoid using personalized speech in the Wiki (except on user pages). For example under the heading "Use a virtual machine" someone stated "my favorite is Bochs". I changed it to a more appropriate wording; "Bochs is favored amongst the OS community." --MessiahAndrw 02:16, 27 July 2010 (UTC)

Broken links under "Using a serial null-modem between GDB and your OS" both seem to be broken (KernelHacking.org is now a landing page, and the gdb spits a 404) maybe it's time for some spring cleaning on this page? -- Primis 18:32, 15 September 2012 (CDT)

It's a FAQ page, so it goes in that category. I fixed up some last things and removed the review tag. Thanks for your help - Combuster 02:32, 3 July 2007 (CDT)

Is such a long name for the article appropriate? "How Do I Use A Debugger With My OS" is more of a question than a title. Other articles are not labeled "What is an ELF file", just "ELF", so I think it would be appropriate to rename this article to "Kernel Debugging". The same could apply to other articles in the FAQ category. --MessiahAndrw 03:06, 22 December 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]
