Should we hide the TOC or try to restructure the template to get it to work with the TOC if possible or just leave as is? - Chase 23:39, 11 December 2006 (CST)

Hide I can't see it fitting in. -Jhawthorn 01:02, 12 December 2006 (CST)

I think it should be hidden. --Walling 07:52, 12 December 2006 (CST)

Category

Do you think we should put this into a category? --Stinkfly 04:09, 24 August 2007 (CDT)

No. It is already categorized, and it doesnt further categorize nicely with anything but an 'Anything' page (which we already have). Also, if you meant separating this page into books: it makes things harder to find, as well as removing the ability to do searches over all the books at once (try Ctrl+F). - Combuster 04:32, 25 August 2007 (CDT)

Operating Systems Design and Implementation (3rd Edition)

The title says '(3rd Edition)', but the official description says "... Second Edition ...". The description should be updated to describe the 3rd edition. I was going to update it myself but I saw NOEDITSECTION at the top of the page - does that mean the page should not be edited?. steve23 08:41, 11 August 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Revision

Is everyone okay with me completely rewriting this article which is, apparently, no longer maintained? For many of the books here there are many editions, there are no reviews---only the publisher's descriptions, there are no links for errata and/or supplementary material, there is no categorization, etc. I was working on a big revision for this forum post when I figured this stuff would make much more sense here. I will obviously also add a link to the forum topic, in case anyone is interested. --Love4boobies 05:19, 28 May 2012 (CDT)

Return to "Books" page.
