Multiprocessing is becoming more and more common. No longer is it NUMA servers in workplaces like Google, it now is SMP in your average $500 computer. Not to mention Hyperthreading. Multiprocessor can take two, software indivisble forms: seperate CPU dies or multi-core CPUs.
